Environmental Policy Statement

The company maintains this process for identifying, examining and evaluating the environmental aspects, both direct and indirect, of its activities, services and materials that it can influence.

The company has evaluated the following areas:

Controlled and uncontrolled emissions to the atmosphere
Releases to water
Potential contamination of land
Waste products from our activities
Use of land, water, fuels, energy and other natural resources
Noise, odour, dust, vibration and visual impact

Evaluation considers the following:

Normal operating and working conditions
Abnormal operating and working conditions
Incidents, accidents and potential emergency situations
Past, current and future activities of the company
New developments and new or modified activities

To achieve this, we have produced an Environmental Aspects Register addressing activities, products and services as applicable. Each aspect has been reviewed and an environmental significance determined as high/ medium/ low. A method of control for each aspect is then established. The register is reviewed during contract review and during the regular management review meetings.

T Brown's Environmental Management procedures are accredited to the International standard, ISO 14001.
